Privacy policy
This site is a set of static pages. There is no account, no newsletter, no comment box, and no tracking script. Here is exactly what that leaves.
What is not collected
- No account, login, or user profile. There is nothing to sign up for.
- No analytics product. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no pixel, no session recording.
- No advertising network and no ad cookies.
- No contact form. Messages arrive as ordinary email, and are held in the mailbox they were sent to.
- No third-party font or script request. The typefaces are served from this domain, so loading a page does not tell Google, or anyone else, that you read it.
What is necessarily collected
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like every web host, Cloudflare processes the request itself: your IP address, the page requested, the referring page if your browser sends one, and your browser's user-agent string. That is what any server needs in order to return a page. Cloudflare keeps this in operational logs under its own retention schedule, which this site does not control and cannot extend.
Cloudflare may also set a bot-management cookie (__cf_bm) to distinguish ordinary visitors from automated traffic. It is set by the host, not by this site, and it is not used to build a profile of you.
In plain terms: the host sees the request, this site does not follow you afterwards, and no profile is assembled from your visit.
If you write to the address on the contact page, the message and your email address are kept for as long as it takes to deal with the request, and longer only if the correspondence resulted in a published correction. Email is not added to any list and is not shared.
Affiliate links
As of November 4, 2026 there are no affiliate links on this site. If that changes, the affected post carries a disclosure above the first link, and the affiliate network involved may set its own cookie when you click through. Those cookies are governed by that network's policy, not this one. The current state is always stated at the top of the post, not buried here.
External links
Posts cite primary sources and link out to them: the Federal Register, CBP guidance, vendor pricing pages. Once you follow such a link, you are on someone else's site under someone else's policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data is held about you, to have it corrected, or to have it erased. In practice the only personal data this site could hold is an email you chose to send. Ask, and it gets deleted.
Requests go to [email protected]. A reply follows within a few days.
Children
This site is written for people running or pricing a business. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes
If a tracker, an ad network, or a newsletter is ever added, this page changes before that thing goes live, and the date at the top changes with it.
